Tuition Fees
Early Tuition Rate (applications received on or before August 15, 2026): $8,700 CAD. A non-refundable deposit of $975 is due upon acceptance, followed by payments of $1,931.25 due on September 4, 2026, November 6, 2026, February 5, 2027, and July 2, 2027.
Regular Tuition Rate (applications received after August 15, 2026): $9,200 CAD. A non-refundable deposit of $975 is due upon acceptance, followed by payments of $2,056.25 due on September 4, 2026, November 6, 2026, February 5, 2027, and July 2, 2027.
Participants may also choose to pay the full tuition amount upon acceptance.
Deferral rates are $400/year.
Application Process
The Diploma in Social Responsibility & Sustainability welcomes applications from professionals at all career stages. Participants come from diverse sectors and backgrounds, including sustainability, ESG, social responsibility, social impact, communications, marketing, finance, human resources, consulting, government, education, and nonprofit organizations.
We are particularly interested in applicants who are committed to creating positive social and environmental change and who are eager to apply their learning through a practical capstone project.
Step 1: Complete the online application (submit your résumé or CV, learning objectives, and a brief letter of application).
Step 2: Qualified applicants will be invited to a telephone or virtual interview to discuss their goals, experience, and potential capstone project.
Step 3: Successful applicants will receive an Offer of Admission by email.
Step 4: Confirm your place by accepting the offer and submitting the required tuition deposit.
Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis. We acknowledge receipt within five business days and typically provide an admissions decision within 20 business days.

Funding

Funding for First Nations, Inuit and Métis Students
USMC is pleased to partner with Indspire to offer the University of St. Michael’s College in the University of Toronto award for Indigenous students. Indspire provides financial support for First Nations, Inuit and Métis students across Canada to assist them in completing their post-secondary education. Students in St. Michael’s undergraduate programs, the graduate programs in the Regis St. Michael’s Faculty of Theology, and the Diploma in Social Responsibility and Sustainability are welcome to apply. This program is eligible for Canadian Tuition Tax Credits and the Canada Training Credit.
Government Grant Programs
In Alberta and Ontario the Job Grant Program will cover over 80% of your tuition if you work in a company with under 100 employees and 50% of your tuition if over 100 employees. You must apply for this funding through your company. We can help with the application.

The RBC Foundation’s Reimagine Scholarships may be a valuable funding opportunity for eligible adult learners pursuing professional development and career growth. With its focus on upskilling and reskilling, the scholarship aligns well with the Diploma’s emphasis on building practical expertise in sustainability, social responsibility, ESG, and social impact leadership.
Windmill Microlending
Windmill Microlending is a national not-for-profit organization that offers low-interest loans to help skilled immigrants and newcomers in Canada cover the costs of accreditation, training, and professional development. Visit their FAQ page for more information.
