It is finally here – the only Canadian certificate program that equips professionals across corporate, nonprofit, and foundation sectors with a comprehensive social impact measurement toolkit tailored to Canadian contexts was launched June 9 & 10, 2025 with the first offering of Fundamentals of Social Impact Measurement.
Participants came from Canadian Tire Jumpstart Charities, City of Kingston, Distill Consulting, Lactalis Canada, Kindred Works, Eli Lilly Canada, Kindred Credit Union, Alcool NB Liquor, The King’s Trust Canada, Allstate Insurance Company of Canada, Toronto and Region Conservation Authority and others.

In this first course, participants gain essential foundational knowledge in social impact measurement, master key concepts such as developing use cases, targeted research questions for impact measurement, choose relevant standards, and frameworks, identify risks and solutions to drive an effective, measurable social impact strategy.

What participants said about the program:
“I felt this set a very strong foundation for how I now understand social impact measurement that I can directly apply to my work. Coming into the course, I thought I knew more than I did and it was a humbling experience to realize how much I don’t know and how much more I need to learn. This set me on the right path and gave me a lot of information that I can refer back to over time.”
“I had several ‘light bulb’ moments during this course that have made a difference in the way I think about social impact measurement. It was also a great opportunity to build connections with peers in the sector.”
The Social Impact Measurement Professional Certificate bridges the measurement gap between funders and impact creators with Canada’s premier social impact measurement certificate. Developed specifically for professionals who translate social value across sectors, our program provides the practical tools to demonstrate, communicate, and maximize your organization’s true impact.
The next offering of Module 1 – Fundamentals of Social Impact Measurement occurs Sept. 25 & 26, 2025. For more information check out the Social Impact Measurement Professional Certificate Program.
